DESCRIPTION:“MY GENDER\, MY PRIDE”\n\n\n\nEveryone should feel free to be themselves\, without an imposed norm from outside. Unfortunately\, the reality is different\, and our emancipation is often far from complete. In the Netherlands\, too\, people are still discriminated against and beaten up every day because of who they are or who they love. In recent decades\, our struggle has mainly been about ‘being allowed to love who we want and it is time to broaden the focus to ‘be allowed to be how we feel’. In other words\, time to pay attention to the diversity of gender identities and our right to self-determination. We have the right to deviate from the norm and the sex we were given at birth. Gender identity is central during Pride Amsterdam from July 30 to August 7\, 2022\, with the theme ‘My Gender\, My Pride’. \n\n\n\nFor more information about this year’s Amsterdam Pride 2022\, click here

DESCRIPTION:REGISTER NOW!\n\n\n\nAfter a hiatus of several years\, Workplace Pride is honoured to again be organising the 2022 edition of ‘Stories From the Heart’ as our main Amsterdam Pride event. The event will be kindly hosted by our Foundation Member\, Heineken\, and co-hosted by our Foundation Partner PwC.  \n\n\n\nStories from the Heart is part of the Building Bridges program which brings together LGBTIQ+ activists from different parts of the world to exchange experiences and dialogue with fellow activists during the Amsterdam Pride celebrations. Building Bridges helps strengthen their network of allies in the region and empowers their activism.  \n\n\n\nAs many Workplace Pride members have activities in locations where it is difficult or even dangerous to be openly LGBTIQ+\, this event provides our members a first-hand account of what their colleagues and other community members experience on a regular basis.
