DESCRIPTION:Hot topic: What about gender registration?\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event:Purple Friday is a day on which pupils and students can show their solidarity with LGBTIQ+ people bywearing the colour purple at school. In the Netherlands\, the day has been held on the second Fridayof December every year since 2010. Purple Friday was inspired by Spirit Day in the United States\,which was first held in 2010 as an expression against bullying of LGBTIQ+ youth.Purple Friday is traditionally celebrated at schools but over the last couple of years\, we’ve seen thathigher education and corporate workplaces are embracing this celebration of solidarity with theLGBTIQ+ community. During this hybrid lunch we’ll explore the Purple Friday theme: acceptance\,equality\, and safety of all people of the LGBTIQ+ community in higher and secondary education froma management and student perspective. The student generation is increasingly bothered by theregistration of gender.
