This webinar will be held in Dutch with the title: “Hoe dragen LHBTI+ netwerken binnen de publieke sector bij aan een inclusieve organisatiecultuur?”\,  and will be hosted by Public Sector members at Workplace Pride. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWebinar will be held in Dutch

How should resilient democracies such as ours respond\, and ensure that such data are not used against the LGBTI community? Which ethical and moral choices do we have to make? Must the importance of privacy balance against the general interest of public health and the economy? \n\n\n\nBe sure and tune into this webinar which will cover these and other topical questions in a sample of the Tech@Workplace Pride live event on November 13th in Groningen (see banner below) \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nSubject: There is always a rainbow in the Cloud \n\n\n\nHost: Tech@Workplacepride \n\n\n\nModerator: Danny Belitz\, Data Scientist\, IBM \n\n\n\nExpert: Mr.dr. SUMMARY:International Day Against Homophobia\, Transphobia and Biphobia 2020
DESCRIPTION:The global COVID-19 pandemic is affecting us all\, and many initiatives for May 17\, the International Day against Homophobia\, Transphobia and Biphobia have been either cancelled or delayed. But physical distancing doesn’t have to mean social distancing!Communities are more important than ever and physical distancing should mean getting socially even closer. \n\n\n\nMay 17 will provide a key opportunity for this\, and this article brings you plenty of ideas on how to make it happen! \n\n\n\nClick HERE \n\n\n\nBackground\n\n\n\nThe International Day Against Homophobia\, Transphobia and Biphobia was created in 2004 to draw the attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by lesbian\, gay\, bisexuals\, transgender\, intersex people and all other people with diverse sexual orientations\, gender identities or expressions\, and sex characteristics. \n\n\n\nIn our families\, in our social circles\, at work\, in our sports clubs\, for many of us our Sexualities\, Gender Identities or Sex Characteristics must be hidden. We wander through most of our lives with the stigma of feeling ashamed of who we are. \n\n\n\nOn May 17\, the International Day against Homophobia\, Transphobia and Biphobia will be breaking some of that silence. This year again\, tens of thousands of us will speak up. We will take the space that is rightfully ours\, because our voices\, our stories\, our lived realities matter! \n\n\n\nBy all coming together on one global day\, our “noise” will be so loud that all our LGBTQI+++ sisters and brothers all over the world who cannot speak up will hear the sound of hope and solidarity. \n\n\n\nJoin the global noise! Make your voice heard on May 17\, 2020 \n\n\n\nThe Day is not one single campaign. It is a moment when thousands of ideas and initiatives converge over a single vision: freedom and equality for all sexual\, gender and bodily minorities.  \n\n\n\nYou can join in whichever way you want: shout out on your social media\, organise an event near you\, contact your local LGBTQI++ organisation to see what they have planned\, call on your local authority to get them to celebrate the Day\, decorate your office\, organise a movie night\, etc. Be creative\, this is YOUR day ! \n\n\n\nMay 17 is now celebrated in more than 130 countries\, including 37 where same-sex acts are illegal. Thousands of initiatives\, big and small\, are reported throughout the planet.

SUMMARY:Keeping Members Connected (Young@WorkplacePride)
DESCRIPTION:Our generation fought for basic rights; your generation expects them hosted by Young@WorkplacePride\n\n\n\nWhat is the next step for LGBTI inclusion in the workplace: a conversation between experience groups hosted by Young@WorkplacePride\n\n\n\nIn the third event of our “Keeping Members Connected” series\, Young@WorkplacePride invites you to share your thoughts about what the future of LGBTI+ inclusion looks like in the workplace: \n\n\n\nWhat do we expect from our workplaces? Is the use of policies and symbolism enough? Do we rely more on the use of stories and role models of that LGBTI executive that made it to the board of the company? Or both? Is that enough to guarantee inclusion or do we need to go a few layers deeper? And if so\, what is it then to make us all feel included? \n\n\n\nObjectives: \n\n\n\nIn a recent conversation\, someone who has around 20 years of experience\, accurately mused to one of our Young@Workplace Pride Board members\, “Our generation fought for basic rights; your generation expects them.” So the question is: What do we expect from our workplaces? Is it the use of policies and symbolism\, such as the Dutch Railways changing their address to people from “Dear Ladies/Gentlemen” to “Dear Travelers”? Or do we rely more on the use of stories and role models of that LGBTI executive that made it to the board of the company? Or both? Is that enough to guarantee inclusion or do we need to go a few layers deeper? And if so\, what is it then to make us all feel included? We’ll begin with an introduction that dives a bit more into the development of this topic and purpose of this workshop to contextualize and trigger the interest for all. Attendees will break out into groups with 0-5 and 5+ working experience\, led by our teams. Within the session\, we aim to put a short break for them to reflect and provide their views. Afterward\, we would then like to discuss those and make a comparison between the experience groups. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nZoom details are to be found in your email inbox from Workplace Pride
