The tickets for the Copenhagen 2021 LGBTI+ Workplace Inclusion Day are sold as an add-on to the Human Rights Conference. This means that you will first have to purchase a ticket for the Human Rights Conference and then buy the additional ticket for the Workplace Inclusion Day. \n\n\n\nREGISTRATION \n\n\n\nDigital attendance\n\n\n\nWe of course hope that many companies and corporations will be able to join us physically in Copenhagen\, where they will also have the chance to network and participate in our lunch and reception. However\, we also understand the impact that COVID19 has had on global business travel. That is why we are offering a digital version of the Workplace Inclusion Day: We want to ensure that companies and corporations that want to work towards more inclusive work environments have the chance to participate in the conference despite insecurities and travel restrictions. The opening event is organized in collaboration with UNFPA\, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency and coordinated with other UN entities. Society is truly at a crossroads and we are all living it every day. As we regularly interact with people online from around the world\, we understand that barriers to communication and progress no longer exist – or at least they shouldn’t exist.  \n\n\n\nThis conference will address the hard issues of why not enough is being done. But it will also articulate what employers of all types\, both local and international CAN do to make progress. It will look critically at the role of civil society and the LGBTIQ+ community ourselves to determine if we have done enough to get our message across. Finally\, though\, it will bring all stakeholders together to help shape a working world in which LGBTIQ+ people can truly be themselves.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBe sure and save June 25th from 14:00 until 17:00\, Amsterdam time\, when top decision-makers from the private and public sectors come together with the LGBTIQ+ community for this annual event. \n\n\n\nEnough space to ensure optimal social distancing: 2 seats between each participant.\n\n\n\nThis online element of this event will be open to the general public. DESCRIPTION:The struggle faced by the LGBTQ community has been going on for generations in this country\, and for thousands of years around the world.  Harvey Milk was one of the heroes of that struggle\, being the first official to be elected that was openly gay in California.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhile he was assassinated he accomplished important steps for the community during his time in office. Harvey Milk Day celebrates this incredible man and the sacrifices he made so people could just live their lives in peace.

People that feel included and have a sense of belonging at their places of work are more productive\, better team players\, and make a greater contribution. They are less likely to be ill or need to be replaced\, all of which translates into financial impact for businesses. \n\n\n\nTremendous progress has been made in Europe in the past decade to create equitable workplaces for previously excluded or marginalised groups\, including LGBTI people\, but there is still much room for improvement. During this conference\, we will discuss the barriers as well as the opportunities facing businesses in regards to their LGBTI employees\, clients/customers. It will also explore how investors look increasingly at the breadth of a businesses’ engagement when it comes to equitable workplaces. \n\n\n\nParticipants will include (a.o) representatives from both multinational and Hungarian businesses\, members of Hungarian LGBTI Civil Society\, and members of the diplomatic community. \n\n\n\nGOALS: The conference will address a broad range of issues when it comes to LGBTI inclusion in the workplace. DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to the Academia@WorkplacePride live webinar in our “Keeping Members Connected” series on Monday November 23rdat noon CEST. \n\n\n\nThe topic of academia and the inherent challenges for LGBTI persons studying or working within its many layers\, is an area sorely in need of attention and discussion. After the inaugural webinar on the 24thof August 2020\, Academia@WorkplacePride wants to make further progress and look more deeply into substantive topics. \n\n\n\n“Queering the Curriculum” \n\n\n\nIn this webinar we will focus on the educational aspects of academia and it particular the curriculum. Is there am LGBTI lens on the curriculum? If so what are the implications and is this as relevant in the STEM disciplines  as it is in the humanities and the social sciences. \n\n\n\nSpeakers from the universities of Amsterdam and Leiden will discuss how they can be more inclusive on the basis of the following questions: \n\n\n\nWhat does it mean to ‘queer’ a curriculum?What is heteronormative in your discipline?How do different faculties incorporate queer concepts?Is the curriculum queered in the Netherlands just like as in other countries or are their national differences? \n\n\n\nAs always with our webinars there’ll be a live Q&A section from the viewers which always deepens the panel format.This webinar is for members as well as the general public\, freely accessible for all after registration. DESCRIPTION:Every year\, the Tech@WorkplacePride programme organises an event from a different city in the Netherlands. After Delft\, Eindhoven and Enschede it is now Groningen’s turn to organise this Tech@WorkplacePride event. \n\n\n\nThe guiding theme of the 2020 Groningen edition is Data Ethics\, which refers to a code or behaviour and adherence to the principles and values on which human rights and personal data protection laws are based. It is about honest and genuine transparency in data management. Data ethics is a step further than mere compliance with personal data protection laws like GDPR. \n\n\n\nData ethics includes (but is not limited to) the following 3 pillars:  \n\n\n\nData processing: collecting\, generating\, recording\, curating\, processing\, sharing and using of data\, as well as the detection and removal of bias;Algorithms: AI\, machine learning\, transparency\, explainability\, artificial agents and bots; Similar practices: responsible innovation\, programming\, hacking and professional codes.\n\n\n\nTo keep track of good use of data we need a resilient democracy with well-functioning legislation and laws to prevent public and private organisations from collecting data against specific groups of people. More and more examples are emerging where data is being misused.  \n\n\n\nAs we also see in the recent COVID-19 pandemic there are organisations around the world using such data in order to reduce the impact of its spread\, at the cost of people’s privacy.  \n\n\n\nHow should resilient democracies such as ours respond and ensure that such data are not used against the LGBTI community? Which ethical and moral choices do we have to make?
